Does anybody know if the 06-C6-LS2 is currently supported with V2?
Thanks, Jim

It depends on what controller is in the vehicle. If you want to post your vin I would be happy to check it out for you.

Thanks for the reply Black 02SS. I don't know the Vin of the car as I have not seen it yet. So does the 06 model year C6 LS2 use both the E-40 and E-38 Controller? This is an LS2 not LS7.
Thanks, Jim

All 2006 model year Corvettes (Z06 or base car with the LS2) use the E38 so if your VIN has a 6 in the 10th digit (or a 7 for the 2007 cars), the current release of EFILive will not reprogram them. The 2005 Corvette uses the E40. It was not a mid year model change. The 2005 Corvette uses a different crankshaft reluctor (24x wheel versus 58x wheel on the 2006-2007). You can not mix the engines and controllers/software. The 2006 engine won't run in a 2005 Corvette and the 2005 won't run in a 2006 Corvette.
To confuse things a bit, the 2006 LS2 in the Trailblazer SS, SSR and GTO still has the 24x crankshaft reluctor wheel (and the 2x cam sensor wheel versus the 4x wheel on the newer engines). These vehicles (2006 Trailblazer SS, SSR and GTO) use the E40 ECM like the 2005 Corvette did. EFIlive should support these vehicles because they use the E40 computer.
The crankshaft speed sensors are different for the two different reluctors and they are color coded so you can also tell by the color if it is a 58x sensor or a 24x sensor.

I've sent a copy of a stock 2007 LS2 MZ6 Corvette but I don't see it on the list. Did you NOT get it?
I also tried to attach it to this post and it doesn't show.
Would ya'll mind increasing the size of the "tun" files in here as attachments? My 1 meg file won't fit from my 2007 Corvette tune.

Tordne has his e-mail turned off in his profile.
I transmitted to you and I used tordne@holdencrazy.com (http://forum.efilive.com/member.php?find=lastposter&t=4922#) that for tordne. I hope one of you gets the file. Let me know.

Got it thanks mate :)
I've forwarded it on as it is an E38/E67 unrecognized PCM which we need to produce a cal for.

Can you please tell me if the following LS2 controller is supported?
VIN
1G1YY24U955100573
Thanks....
Based on the fact that 10th digit of the VIN 1G1YY24U955100573 is a 5, that is a 2005 vehicle and from the 1G1YY part, it is a Corvette so that can only be an E40 based vehicle (as I mentioned before, ALL 2005 model year Corvettes are E40). That means the current release of EFILive will support that vehicle. The current operating system for that VIN is 12613186 and that operating system is supported by EFILive (as is the one prior to it for that vehicle).

I am still having a problem viewing the operating system. I get the "unrecognised pcm" message.
In the calibration tab the OS is 12595751
I saved a copy of the tune and sent it to support@efilive
For anyone interested I can snd them the file to see if you can read it.
Just sent me your email and I will send the file.
email me at dutchesscamaro@aol.com
I would greatly appreciate someone looking at the file.
Thanks inadvance.

There is nothing "wrong" with your file that anyone can "fix". It is just a case of the calibration file not existing for the specific Operating System and therefore not knowing what the data relates to our how to present it (in the form of tabkes etc).
There are heaps of calibrations being created currently for the new E38/E67 and other controlers for which read support was released recently.
The calibrations are due out fairly shortly.

The vehicle he is talking about is a 2005 so it is an E40, not and E38 or E67, so it should already be supported.

Per the GM TIS web site, that VIN should have one of the two following operating systems:
VIN:1G1YY24U955100573
Controller:PCM/VCM
Powertrain/Vehicle Control Module Calibration History for: Main Operating System
Part Number
12613186
12605740Both of those operating systems are supported by the current EFILive software.
I am not sure why your vehicle is showing 12595751 as an operating system. Are you sure you are looking at the correct file tab because that part number is the speedometer calibration file part number for your vehicle. Are you using the latest EFILive software that supports E40?
If you are still having these issues I would get your vehicle flashed by a dealer to the latest stock calibration files and that should give you the correct operating system (or you can do it yourself if you have the software/hardware to do so).
If you had a stock EFILive calibration with ALL the correct files for that vehicle, you could also use EFILive to update the vehicle.
BTW - anyone can check what the correct files are for a specific VIN GM vehicle by going to:

You are correct however, for this EARLY pcm OS, 12595692 EFILive does not yet have a cal file.
Ross is working on as we speak to help here.
PLease check your E40 cal file folder to see if you have a ...692 cal file.
I am working with Brent at EPP. He ma be contacting you today on this.
I sent him my stock tune.
Thanks

Damn all the new vehicle support. The list I have is getting a bit big to be useful without adding all the E38 and E67 stuff, let alone the distinction between PCM/TCM.
I think it needs to be grouped somehow which will require database modification and coding. I'm actually thinking maybe something like just a file management system or something. That wold probably be less complex that what I'd naturally want to do.
I'm uploading a few now in any case :frown:

How about file browsing to a file system with tunes put in folders per family (ie) Chevrolet, then by ECM/TCM and the filename describing the tune nicely.
Should be nice and easy to manage and traverse. No database required then and others can help you maintain it.
Should also be possible down the line to make a database with metadata linking to the files if you want to shine it up a tad. Both methods of access can be maintained.

I think Tordne is busy with his new spawned offsping and job, he is saving for a massive displacement engine so needs to work all hours of the day :) (At least I hope he is saving for the engine)

:muahaha:. That would be nice, but first it looks like a swing a slide set for the little one. I got the suspension, clutch and intake done so I should be thankful for that I guess :bash:

That calibration you sent via email is supported with the latest pre-release version 7.5.6 Build 107 available here (http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?t=13140).
Also download the 8.1.2. Build 87 release and update firmware to 2.06.28. Also get the ZIP file in post # & of that thread and extract to the location shown in that post.

can you tell me if this controller is supported. 2006 C6 Auto trans vin#********
That VIN has had the following OS updates:
12600132 - not supported by EFILive (Main Operating System)
12601696 - not supported by EFILive (New software for start of production)
12602922 - supported by EFILive (New software to correct problem occurring at the assembly plant. Does not address any service issues.)
12605196 - not supported by EFILive (New software to eliminate erroneous "Max speed 158 mph" DIC message.)
12605732 - supported by EFILive (New software to ensure proper catalyst monitoring.)
12614682 - supported by EFILive (New software contains diagnostics enhancement for DTC P0128 and DTC P0507. Also addresses battery drain.)
If he has one of the non-supported OS, he should be able to upgrade any non-supported OS to the latest OS.
Plus, any dealer should upgrade his ECM to 12614682 whenever it goes in for a service.
...
bfabiano,
EFILive supports the vehicle you enquired about (VIN provided by you).
However, you may have to upgrade to a supported OS... the latest one is 12614682.
Goto http://tis2web.service.gm.com/tis2web and enter your VIN, select PCM/VCM and click Next...
you will see what the dealer will upgrade your OS/calibrations to (the latest one is at the top, 12614682).

VIN:1G1YY24U955100573
Controller:PCM/VCM
Powertrain/Vehicle Control Module Calibration History for: Main Operating System
Part Number
12613186
12605740Both of those operating systems are supported by the current EFILive software.
