Hi Guys "and maybe Gals", Upload your unsupported 4 cly .cals in this thread if you can find any. I have 2 im building right now, it will be a day or so. But from now on just dump them here and you should get the .cax file to put in so you can edit them.

I get to many emails on my account so things get missed if i dont do it this way.

I've got an unsupported OS for a 2000 Cavy Auto, 2.2L.

I'm failing emmisions because of a p1870 code. I need to get in a shut 'er down.

I have a 2000 Cavailier with a p1870 tranny code. I can't pass emmision in STL because of this code. It's an old car, and I'm not really intrested in repIacing tranny components nor do I have the time to get it looked at/fixed before the license laps. If I clear the code, they can tell that the test hasn't run yet. When it runs, of course it sets the code.

In looking at my tune, I don't know what to change. It needs to be able to run the test, but not fail... I didn't really see many options except for messing with the test conditions, table E0801. In table C0101:, p1860, p1870, p1887 are set to not reported, in C0102 you can only select 1 or 2 trips. I doesn't seem that I can tell it to not report the error. Doesn't seem to make sense to me. Am I missing something?

Looks an awful lot like the P10 cals, wonder how much code these 4cyl's share with my I6... Lots of the tables look identical, just with the Cavalier's data.

Id try changing the MIL Enable/Disable P1870 to NO, thats about all Ive got though.

Just set the test to not run. That is not an emmissions perameter, so it wont even show up on the tests... Im not sure why they would not let you pass with only one code showing...

Change those values in the E0801-e0804 and you can make it not throw any issues.

But i would be worried about that code as it is saying you have low line pressure and or clutches are slipping pretty bad.

I finally got it to pass. I had to drive it for a week before it passed all the readiness test. Thanks for the help, it was greatly appreciated!

here you go for the 9383079. Dump it into your efilive/calibrations/4cly folder then reopen your tune.

Does anyone know or have tried using a Cavalier 2.2L tune & OS in a S10 in order to get fan control? I would think I would just have to copy over all of my tables & do a full flash. Am I thinking correctly or am I missing something that won't allow it to work?

I have an 03 Cavalier that I would like to start playing with, is there going to be support for it soon, or do I need that "other" tunning package
I have attached the file that I pulled from it. there was an option in the tune program for 02-05 4cyl, so I am just wondering if its in the works or not.

Give Jesse a few days, he can usually make the proper .cal or .calz for you. Then copy it into the proper calibrations folder and tune away.

I added support today for it.
That is an older operating system. The new one thru gm fixes alot of bugs. So you might want to get that one at some point or another.

Im working on a request system that i can send out new bins of ANY car via email. Just havent fully implemented it. A customer would just type in a vin number, and it would pop out a fresh file for them with all the latest updates in efi format.

Jesse,

Can you look at a tune I posted on page 2 awhile back. I have an inspection coming up, and have a mil to turn out.

HMM that structure is totally different and will take me 2 days to go thru it by hand.. I will try to do it asap. As for the dtcs, that section is a mess also on that 97 file.. there is a dealer update for your file also, but i dont have that one supported yet either. But it does relax the dtcs a bit from setting specific codes. Not sure what one you are throwing, but it might fix that.

It's the convertor code p1470, I think. I'm at work, and will check for sure tonight. I could try to get the pcm updated at the dealer if it makes it easier on you.

The car wont pass emissions test (just a systems and fault code test, not a sniffer), and I dont want to replace the cat on a $700 car. I have extra licenses to burn.

Do I need a .calz file?

Do I need a .calz file?

Yes, the .cal/.calz files contain the proper address/structure of the *.tun code so you can modify and flash it.

Jesse, sounds like a great system! Cant wait to try it out.

Any update, had an issue, and now I need to get it inspected now. Its still a p0420 cat convertor code. I need to adjust some stuff. If I just clear the codes, they wont pass it until its run this test.

Try Vibrant part # 11621. I have used them in the past without cats & with aftermarket cats & it keeps the light off.
