    Yeah... not flashscan v3......

The PLX seems nice... cheap.... i don't know if its any good, but the ability to detect sensor timing is rather nice.

Guys I just got this setup, it's very nice. I am sure I will have lots of questions but doing tons of reading first. It is touch screen and very high quality. (DM-6 with SM-AFD Gen. 3) So far it's in my catless downpipe with only one bung, simulating narrowband and I am daily driving it. Must hook up to EFILive asap as the car is desperate for tuning.

After reading through that entire thread, I have a couple of questions.

1.) Can I just start tuning using the analog output as designed and get decent results (compared to untuned)?
2.) Does my brand new Gen3 PLX even need to be modified this was or has it improved in some way?
3.) Since I am running the multi-gauge full time from the serial jack - could I still do this in the future?

    Thanks!

    1) yes, you can, but you have to first measure the voltage offset, and add/subtract it in the calc pid.

    2) IDK.

    3) No/IDK.

Thanks Joe! Would it be too much to ask for a link to an explanation of your answer to #1?

You measure the voltage output of the wideband using a DMM, and compare that measurement to what V2 reads... if they are different, you have to adjust for it using a calc pid.

Another way of automatically doing this, thanks to 5.7ute/Mick, is to use one of the other analog inputs to measure to offset on the fly, and subtract this in the calc pid.

    I'll try to find links..

Bump for another old thread. Doing some research on getting a new WB but I want use the serial cable feature on EFILive V2. I'm looking at the PLX SM-AFR Gen 4 because it uses the LSU 4.9 O2 sensor. It has a digital input and output as shown in the pic below. My question is can I use a TAQ LC-1 serial cable to connect from the digital output of the PLX to the V2 or do I have to use the analog connector? Any help is appreciated.

I use the exact same plx. To talk serial with the V2 I modded the PLX and installed a 232 socket and soldered it to the PCB. Pretty easy mod to do. I can take some pics later but my car is in a shop atm. Will be a week or so
