    Default Clarify logging in properties folder??

    In logging folder under properties in scan tool. What exactly do the setting in Priority 1 and 2 packets mean. Mine are set to 1 "packet" every 10 for priority 2....... and 1 "packet" every 5 for priority 3.

    My frames are set at 800, default was 50, Says 22:13:20 @ 10 frames/sec. What does this effect exactly?

    That you have 22 hours 13 minutes and 20 before you need to save this log to the HD or 800k frames before you are prompted to save the log

    nitro,

    packets are the subunits that make up a frame;

    IIRC , I think there are 6 packets to a frame, each packet can hold 4 channels (a non-calc pid may occupy 1 or 2 channels);

    a number of packets can be allocated for priority 2 pids, and
    a number of packets can be allocated for priority 3 pids.

    I also recall that in Fast Stream (10 frame/s) and Slow Stream (5 frame/s) modes, all pids are forced to priority 1;
    so priority 2 and 3 may be used for single pid mode logging or generic mode logging;
    I'll have to go back and reread the Scan Tool manual pdf again to verify what I just said.

    Edit: search the pdf for "priority".

    Cheers
