flashscan V2 in dead poll mode....

i was trying to update my flashscan and left it pluged in and the power must have went out over night and now the screen will not iluminate anything but two orange flashing led's i tryed to check the status of the flashscan using the EFIlive flashscan V2 programer and all i get is...

Flash scan V2 is not in "dead - Poll" mode.

To enter Dead-Poll mod, hold down flashscans ctrl key when flash scan powers up. Dead poll mod is indicated by alternate flashing of the two orange LEDs.

I held down the ctrl key when it was powering up and still got nothing.

Welcome to the forum......I notified Tech Support.

If you selected the Upgrade Boot Block option on your FlashScan, then you will need to use the V8 software EFILive_Explorer to program in the upgraded firmware which will finish off the upgrade process.
The "EFIlive Firmware Programmer" software will not longer work with a FlashScan unit that has the upgraded boot block.

The document: Start->All Programs->EFILive->V8->Documents->Upgrading Firmware explains the complete process.

Hmm, what firmware/boot block did you try and program? Have you downloaded V8.1 and tried to flash it with EFILive Explorer?
