Hey, That smell that you are smelling may not actually be related to any tuning you have done but rather overcharging the batteries or possibly...

What about with the tune you read out of it, or a 100% known stock tune? (sometimes some of the handheld tuners don't do a true return to stock).

I finally managed to get the truck to fire up decent in the cold, down to 20* F coolant temp, and still idle and drive almost as good as a stock cam....

Check the setting of B0517. Try setting it to no.
