View Full Version : Can anyone confirm this...

On my Holden VE 2009 commodore, the left thumb scroll wheel on the steering wheel is used to change the radio station. If the following conditions occur:
1. The low fuel warning is on.
2. The ignition was switched off while the radio was on.
Then when the ignition is turned on again, the scroll wheel will not change radio stations again until the scroll wheel is clicked and you wait 20 -30 seconds. Then the scroll wheel works again.
Is it just my vehicle, or do other VE commodores exhibit the same behavior?

Did you change the shift points on the trans?, yes?, well in that case it's the problem, warranty void.

warranty void.
I think Holden voided the warranty before the ink dried on the sales contract. :(

I asked the dealer about it when I took it in for its first service. I should have RTFM, it is supposed to work that way. Walked out feeling pretty stupid.
In other news, buckling the seat belt at exactly the same time as the seat belt warning chime starts causes the chime to never stop - anyone experienced that?
I've only managed to make it happen about 4 times in 12 months so its pretty hard to "demo" the fault to the dealer.

Hey Paul-
Sorry to resurrect a long-dead thread, but my PM to you w/ my new, non-biz forum account here won't work for some reason..
Long time, no talky! Long time customer, did some promo work for you at PRI in 2006 at our booth, did some beta testing with pre-release V2, still have both commercial V1 and V2, etc. etc. etc.
I have couple of simple questions for you if you wouldn't mind, so could you please PM me when you get a minute and I'll forward you my personal email? I used to have your's and Donna's email addy's but I misplaced them after all this time. Hope Donna is doing well and tell her Jenny says hello. :-)
Look forward to hearing from you and have a great day!

Hello Phil,
I don't think the PM function is activated until you have made at least 10 Forum posts. When Paul sees this post - I'm sure he will find a way to contact you.
