I just bought an 06 Silverado 1500 and the tune looks horrible. It only has 9* total timing and a bunch of other stuff I want to change. Mostly for efficiency. Now, I can down load the tune and read it with my V1. It also data logs. My question is, can I upload a tune if I buy a liscense for it? I had to use the 04-07 LM7 V8-Hybrid controller to view it. Does the V1 support the LM7? I have some mods planned and want to be able to tune for them when I get them.

Cool, thanks man. I guess I could have done some of my own home work on that one.

Its ok, and you can probably pull the tune using Gen III 99-08 LS1 type too. At least you should, thats what it actually is and not an LM7 (its not a hybrid is it?), if it was an E40 you couldnt read it with a V1.

It's not a Hybrid. I only figured out what controller to use because my buddy wanted me to tune his 05 Silverado. I went down the list of controllers and the only one that worked on his was the LM7. I will check the LS1 controller and see what happens.
