View Full Version : Warm Start Problem

Any suggestions where to start ... When my car is cold it starts like a champ and runs at the commanded AFR at idle and above and continues to do so even when at operating temp. If I drive the car and get it up to operating temp, turn it off, then attempt to restart a few minutes later, it doesn't want to start and shows a very lean reading. It then takes several restarts to get it running and then it has to (roughly) idle for a few more minutes to become driveable (enriched). Where should I begin with this? [In case you read my other post, this scenario occurs at a normal voltage level, not just a low-voltage.] Thanks for the suggestions.

usual cause intake temp heat soak in the table for IAC parked vs air intake temp under the idle heading.
After 10 to 15 minutes IAT up to 50 to 60 deg and this table generally pulls out idle air as temp increases via the IAC.
Simply log the car as i sits and note what the intake temp goes up to. crank up the G/s there by 2 g/s or so, reflash and try that :)

took me ages to find that one believe me! works every time though and with the magnacharger you will be surprised at the amount of heat soak in a short amount of time. When we fit cams only this table always needs adjusting as well for some reason.......
