ls1 twinturbo 5psi water to air intrcooled.MAF is reading 250 @5000 rpm and timing drops to 5deg Stock MAP also off scale .Will a 2bar map sensor cure this or will the AFM need upgrading as well

Are you using a custom operating system? Check out Bruce Melton's MAF, it may be what you are looking for too.

tech just said can up the ceilings will see if this works before getting excited and changing hardwear

if you do need Bruces maf, he is awesome to deal with. YOu wont be disappointed

The MAFHERTZ is limited in the OS, and there is no way around it.
You will need to run a COS and a 2/3 BAR MAP like all the other FI guys.

I believe I received an email from Dozerman this AM (from nz) and his situation is not typical in that he does seem to be not maxing out the (stock?) MAF and is in closed loop at higher RPM. I think it is a setup isssue for now.

problem turned out to be abuse protection as this engine has no trans hooked to it o/s took it as been in neutral or park
