Does setting the G0801 to NO keep the car from going into limp mode? Mechanical column lock bypass is already done, but customer is getting the "pull key wait 10 seconds" warning, and afterward car will only go about 2 mph.

Haven't had the steering shaft disconnected lately?

G0801 in my tune was set to 'NO' by GM for the 'Column Lock Recall'. I would try setting it to 'No" as I don't think it will hurt anything and might fix it.

I'm not sure. The column lock bypass was done by another shop. We haven't done any work on this one.

That's good to know. I haven't even pulled his tune. I'm pretty sure his was done by a dealership. He told me the "recall" had been done. I'll post up when I find out. Maybe his wasn't programmed?

Set the G0801 to no. Car runs normal now.
