when you install a LC-1 widband sensor into the exhaust can you just replace one of the NB sensors? or do you have to put the bung in.

You meant for tuning in OL right? Or? Are you doing the AutoVe?

You can replace a stock O2 with the LC1,
it can simulate an NBO2 signal.
Page 14 of the manual
"As factory programmed the first output simulates a typical narrow band oxygen sensor."

yes doing the autoVE. isnt that in CL? with a WB O2 sensor you can stay in CL cant you? even at WOT

No not CL. You should set up for Open Loop(OL) Speed Density(SD) per the AutoVe tutorial.

The LC-1 can simulate the NBO2 for normal CL operation.

For AutoVE you need to setup OL (and SD)... PCM then just ignores the NBO2 signal, and you use the wideband AFR to correct the VE table.

Does this mean I can just use one WB for CL, PE and idle tuning? It won't affect cut-off and fuel trims when logging?

Yes, the WBO2 is independent of the factory NBO2 sensors. Most people only have 1 WB and use it to tune.

If you can get it setup properly, you can have the LC1 and some others simulate the factory NBO2 signal and use it in the NBO2 location. It is probably better if you can have the WB bung welded in and add it to the NB sensors though.
