Very good, thanks for choosing EFILive.
Based on your user name looks like there is an LLY about to get some tuning done!
If you aren't already best join up over a Diesel Place and Duramax Diesels .com

Cheers,
Ros

Reading material:

- scantool/tunetool user manual pdf's (download/install the software),
- AutoVE tutorial,
- collection of links (http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?t=2990)

Do this first:
- read your calibration from your PCM and save to a file (and write to CD).
- take as many logs (everyday) and study them, understand what is happening.

You will love it once you start doing Mods and can tune for them , Cam , Headers , Tires , etc ....

Am a 6.0 liter fan myself .

The reading and texts are overwhelming at first, believe me! Just take your time going through all of it, and read everything at least twice to get a good grasp on the concepts. Remember, this is your truck you paid lots of $$$ for, no sense blowing it up by pressing a few wrong buttons!

Baby steps, and ask for help if you need it!

Download/install the software and play with it while reading the user manual pdf's...
Follow along in the scantool/tunetool while reading the AutoVE tutorial (and think about why the AutoVE tutorial does certain things).
