Did anybody play with the DFCO settings to archive better mpg?
If yes, what is the best strategy to sqeeze a few more miles out of the gallon?

I have gone pretty agressive with the DFCO on my 94 LT1, it might help a little, but honestly, the gains aren't stellar, maybe up to 0.5 mpg tops, but much of that comes from the driving to make the DFCO be worth it. Like longer coast down and stuff.

Really, I found best to take what GM has, do nothing more and make the DFCO delay (if you have one) to around 1.2 to 1.5 seconds. more than that is a nucance and you are constantly in and out of DFCO, which is much more annoying than anything.

You will find that you can't really coast without it slowing more than you probably wanted and you end up back on the gas again to keep it going.

I found I was happier with the car with stock settings and DFCO timer to 1.3 seconds was the sweet spot on my car. Stock was 2.5 seconds before DFCO would kick in, which I felt was too long.

Seems GM has the lighter cars with DFCO timer shorter and heavier with it longer, at least of the cars I looked at.

I am pretty sure I asked this somewhere but DFCO is what again? Deer feces combined with orange juice?

Dragging up an old thread, but thanks guys: now I know what DFCO means!! Most of the acronyms I'm good on, this one was killing me!
