I bought the software in 2005 to tune a 6.0 tahoe project and haven' t had to use it since 2006. So I am a little rusty. After downloading the new version 7.5 #86, I attempted to get into the PCM of my new purchase, 2008 TBSS. At first I thought it was a cable issue? Then I received this error >$11 Does anyone know what this means? Could it be that the pcm is locked from a previous tuner/owner? Upon attempt to read pcm, a warning lists it as not valid and do you want to read it anyway...or something like that. Any help will be greatly appreciated

Chuck,

Welcome to the forum...

Also install V8.1 from here (http://www.efilive.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=48&Itemid=133)

Then read and understand the attached doc before performing the V2 bootblock/firmware upgrade.

Is the E67 only supported by V8.1?
Will the V8.1 work with my FSP V1?
Thank you.

I forgot how humbling the "learning curve" is.

V8 is for:
- V2 black box logging,
- V2 black box flashing (soon),
- updating V2 bootblock/firmware.

You still use V7.5 for passthru logging/flashing.

If you have V1 you don't need V8...

Oh, you have FlashScan V1... E67 requires V2.

V2 understands CAN and VPW buses, V1 only understands VPW.

I see. So, in order to gain access to the E67, I need to upgrade to V2. Thank you very much for the info.

Yes, you must have a FlashScan V2 in order to connect and download tunes from an E67 ECM (aka what our TBSSs have).
