Have 7.5.5 b86 installed. V2 firmware says on FlashScan programmer says boot block version 2.04.10 and firmware is 2.04.72. I've directed the programmer to the ffl file and that is the latest. How do I get the 2.06.08 which is supposed to be the most current? I loaded the only ffw file there was in V7.5 FSProg_V2_4_72.ffw which is obviously the version I have. There are no other FFW files and I thought that when I updated to Build 86 it would have the 2.06.72 file included. Guess not. How do I get 2.06.72

Ok, you need to do this:
- install V8.1 from the downloads page at www.efilive.com (http://www.efilive.com),
- read and understand the attached document very carefully;
- only after you understand the doc, then proceed to upgrade.

To upgrade the bootblock/firmware after you will use a program called EFILive_Explorer (EE) which is mentioned in that doc.

Ok, muddling through all that, excellent guide, thanks....
efi control panel in EFI 8.1 says: V2 boot block 2.06.02 date 16 oct 08 and V2 firmware 2.06.09 date 16 may 09. Sounds like I have the latest updates on my V2! Thanks. Have EFI live 8.1.2 build 54 and v 7.5.5 Build 86.
However, I've never touched v 8 before. I can use 7.5.5 like I've always done correct. I.e. v8 is only for BB logging?

For V2 BBL, there is a new V8 (in beta test that now) that will allow you to graphically select pids to log.
