View Full Version : LB7/LLY Duramax crankshaft pattern

Hi All,

I'm wondering if anybody has any data on the crankshaft pattern produced by the LB7 or LLY engine (not LBZ up).
In my recent hard disk crash I lost some data that contained this info and of course I need it for something and I can't remember what it was.
Below is the kind of data we need, it's for the LS1 engine, so either a photo of the Duramax crank itself showing the part that generates the pattern or any data on the pattern itself would be great, some GM training manuals might contain this.

theres a photo of the tone ring on the crank


there is a 1 notch (if i recall) difference between lb7/lly and lbz

and hears the tone ring for the cam in case you were wondering about it as well


should give you a idea any ways.

Thanks for the pics, that looks like it would produce a 58x signal, weird, I thought the LB7/LLY used something very different.

Edit: You are correct, the ECM pin names show the crank input as 57x :doh2:
