I was going thru my tune (E38) and noticed table{B0533} Throttle Tip-In Torque Reduction
I'm going to admit I never noticed it before...:) What is it for?

i haven't tried it myself but i think you would max out the value.

i just turned it off using B0530, B0531 & B0532

Yeah, I have those parameters set to "NO" also...It's just that It's been a while since I've gone thru my tune, and {B0533} was new to me...

Picture in an old carby car when you are cruising and you quickly open the throttle and it sort of jerks because of the instant power increase, Tip-In Torque reduction attempts to stop that happening by slowly ramping in the power. It can be calibrated to be a pain by making the throttle too progressive in it's response.

I don't understand the relationship of the vertical TQ scaling to TPS header. Is the TPS relative positioning or rate of opening (i.e. acceleration)? Are the torque numbers on the vertical header the torque values that the ETC is going to use as a reference and the values that we can assign based on TPS = actual engine torque that we want?
