Sorry if this is a dumb question and forgive me please! Im new to Efilive and tuning in general. I did an LS1 swap into my Nova. I finally got it up and running and it finally holds an idle (not a good one). I want to do the RAFIC process but the scanner is really confusing to me. Is there a sticky or post that tells me exactly how to set this process up? I have no idea what PIDs need to be checked or how to even set up the MAP for it. I tried to click on the Calc_RAFIG pid and it says its not available so ill assume im missing something. Can someone shed so light on how to set this process up for me? Thanks!

{CALC.RAFPN} = Auto trans
{CALC.RAFACIG} = Auto trans and Manual trans
{CALC.RAFACPN} A/C on
Right click each PID for more info on which PIDs
need to be pre-selected for them to work.
Add logged RAFIG to desired airflow table {B4307}

Thanks for the replies. My problem is when I try to set up a new map for this, it says RAFIG on the top of the map. Im trying to see my ECTs and RPMs. On the sides of the map instead of values....all I get is ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? all up and down the rows. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Quick question...Do you have to be idling stationary the whole time for RAFIG for an auto?

I find it easier to just let it idle stationery until it gets up to operating temp. If doing an auto I do park neutral first, let it cool down & then redo for in gear.

Good deal. So at any point the engine is idling in gear, it will use the Desired Airflow table?

Do we get the desired airflow table dialed in before or after AutoVE? It seems as though they would fight each other?

One more thing...Desired IAC Airflow is listed as an invalid PID. I have done RAFPN without anything like this. What gives?

Thanks for the help and sorry for the mini hyjack (even though its relevant :hihi:)

Yes.

I do a quick rafig first to get it in the ballpark. Autove to get the actual/commanded AFR's into line. Select an AFR & timing that the engine likes for idle, & then recheck Rafig.
Remember Rafig just gives us a base position for the IAC position for idle. Idle is mainly controlled by spark.

Right click on the pid for more info on why it is invalid.

Have you tried manually validating the pids.
Connect to the vehicle. go to the info tab up the top & select validate pids.
