I just downsized my cam and lowered my compression for a FI setup. I've run into a strange issue. This is a LS1 418 N/A at the moment. The MAF is deleted. Prior to the cam swap it was on spec as far as the tune goes.

Without getting in to a lot of detail the main problem is it idles like a car that just got a new cam 'with the IAT unplugged' no tuning yet. When I plug the IAT in it barely stays running very rich it seems and any addition of power will almost certainly kill the engine. Without the IAT you can add power.

What's the problem why is the IAT sensor causing the engine to run worse?

have you adjusted the airflow to suit the new camshaft ? done a sensor check (if possible) or tried another sensor ?

Without the IAT plugged in your airmass calculations will be out.(The reported IAT will be -39degC). This will cause your car to run rich.
