V7.3 010 has been made publicly available here:
http://www.efilive.com/downloads/downloads_730.html

Important note for 1998 PCMs
Earlier versions of EFILive included two *.txt files:

\Program Files\EFILive\V7\Calibrations\19980100.txt
\Program Files\EFILive\V7\Calibrations\19980200.txt
You must delete those two files or EFILive will decode the 1998 PCMs incorrectly. Most likely you will see many "Out of Range" calibrations until you remove those two files.

Paul

Sweet! Looks good..

But, now what do we do with all the things popping up "out of range?"

I have things popping up in my files, other cars i've read and stock bins as well showing "out of range calibrations"

For example, mine using the custom OS is showing that my boost VE and timing tables are out of range (i don't use them and i've never touched them)

Do we just have to correct them when they pop up or.. ?

Do you mean for 98 PCMs?

You must delete the following .txt files:
\Program Files\EFILive\V7\Calibrations\19980100.txt
\Program Files\EFILive\V7\Calibrations\19970100.txt

Those files contain incorrect information about the 98 PCMs.
They have been replaced by files of the same name but with a *.cal extension.

I deleted those 2 files and it still is showing things out of range, and its not for 98 pcms.

I do not see this file \Program Files\EFILive\V7\Calibrations\19970100.txt . I saw the other one.
I do see a 19980200.txt. I already deleted the 19980100.txt file.

Oh, by the way.. its only doing now on my custom 2001 OS for my car.. all the other ones I have are fixed..

Mine still says that the Boost VE table is out of range.

Has your PCM been modified from stock by any other aftermarket tuner?
There may be some changes that were not done correctly.

Regardless, can you please send your *.tun file and a copy of the "Out of Range" text that is displayed when you load the *.tun file?

To copy the "Out of Range" text, click in the text area, right click and select All, then right click again and select Copy. Then paste the text into the email.

Send it to [email protected]

The latest cal files are dated October 04, 2005 and are version 7.70
If that is the version of the cal file that you are using, then you have the latest version. You can see the file version of the cal file that is being used in the PCM Details window when a *.tun file is first loaded. See image.

We are constantly adding new calibrations as we discover more and different ways to tune the PCMs. If you know of a calibration that you need, just ask, we'll go looking for it. We may not find it but we may find something close.

Thanks Steve,
Yes the 98 monkey is off our backs, but the new 2005 LS2 is shaping up to be the next 98 style headache. GM is changing the PCM again in 2006. We'll just keep peeling the bananas...
