Ran mine through the dash inside the console and a buddy wants me to mil out a couple codes for him. Don't want to tear console apart again. I would rather get an extra cable. I see this cable all over the place for about $13
J1962M RA to RJ45, 6ft compatible with ScanGaugeII
However, the Flashscan store states the shipping cable is J1962A instead of the M version that I find everywhere.
Does this matter? Link to a known good cable?

You should buy direct FlashScan V2 OBDII Cable (http://www.efilive.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage_EFILive.tpl&product_id=59&category_id=7&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=56)
to be sure of the wiring, unless you have the proper crimping tool to re-wire
another cable in case it does not match.
For the wiring schematic see the Bench Harness Tutorial.pdf
in C:\Program Files\EFILive\V7.5\Doc\Tutorials

Went to buy just what you recommended. $19 for cable, $41.63 for shipping, that isn't going to happen.
How about a place to get a space cable at a sensable price.

Would this work. I've got no problem putting EFILive as the first place to buy, but because they are in antartica, the shipping is a tad high. I'm sure they understand this. How about a link to an american distributor or tuner that resells their stuff?

It won't work, you can re-pin it if you are inclined.
I never thought about where the part come from when ordering direct,
but I imagine that they have a US warehouse.
Try one of these guys Resellers - United States (http://www.efilive.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=38&Itemid=94)
Fish Tuning is probably your best bet.
