View Full Version : Using Rear 02 harness for WBO2 heater power/ground ?

I did some searching, but did not find a definite answer.

Seems to me the easiest logical place for WBO2 heater power/ground would be the factory rear harness that is just laying there disconnected, as I have an off-road y-pipe with a bung already there. Any problems with this ? The only reason I can think of would be if that feed is not always hot with IGN on.

Thanks,

You can use the power and ground for that harness to power the WB heater, you should use an ECU ground for the signal ground and the other ground if there is one, the white wire on an LC1 for example.

Thanks for the reply. I hooked it up last night, and tested a tad this morning. Everything seems ok thus far. I did hook the white, and blue lc1 wire up to the black wire in the rear 02 harness. Is there a reason for doing it differently, or what is/will happen to what I have hooked up ?

Thanks,
J

You'd like to minimize the noise in the signal to the EFI Live cable. The closer the grounds get to noise free envrionments the better. I would hook the blue, signal ground to Pin D of the FlashScan box.
