I just ran some logging in my new truck and when I try to read it I get an error $0190: SD Card removed. Is that expected behavior? I have all updates / firmware installed and do not have an SD Card inserted...

Under V2's setup options, set file system to internal.

What is the largest SD card you can run.

2GB SD Card.

Can that be changed in the firmware?

Are you referring to the 2gb limit? Is so then I believe it is going to limited based on the chipset used for sdcard reader portion.

Usually, the SD card read/write operations are controlled by individual I/Os on the board, so a firmware update should be able to fix it. I am running a SDHC in my Linksys WRT54G router right now :)

Thought it was limited based on hardware. Wonder if there is licensing fee involved on sdhc that would have to be paid much like sonys memory stick setup.

I thought that the purpose of manufacturers were going to the SDHC was because Microsoft's patent on the FAT file system, they sued TomTom over it, but it looks like devices are still using some variety of FAT for the SDHC.

In any case, my router needed a driver update to go from SD to SDHC, and my GoPro camera needed a firmware update to be able to handle the SDHC. I haven't taken my V2 apart (yet), but I have a hunch it uses software controlled GPIOs, and a firmware update would allow the use of SDHC cards. I am guessing it doesn't run Linux on the V2, so I wouldn't have a clue what I am doing with it. This would be a question for the firmware developers.
