View Full Version : tuning software for JAP cars!?!?

Hi there All,
well as I got my EFILIVE V2 I started a new business in my garage with a dyno, but lots of customers keept asking me if I tune Japanese cars (such as; Nissan, Toyota, Mitsubishi and Subaru) but without changing the ECU, by other meaning the same way we use EFILIVE V2, got tired from searching the net for something same as EFILIVE v2 but found nothing...Can any one please help me with that issue ??!!

As far as I know you cannot tune Toyota's.

From my understanding on the Toyota ECM's, they use a custom CPU, not something that is available commercially. Like the current GM, FORD, DCX ECM's all use a Freescale MPC5xx CPU, meaning you can get good data sheets on the CPU, assemblers, disassemblers etc.

Mind you, I haven't seen inside a modern Toyota ECM, last one I looked at was about 2004. Maybe they have changed.

Some of our customers out here tune Subaru's, they too suffer failed reflash problems except not recoverable!

I found one software called ECUFLASH forsome subarus and all Evo's (5,6,7,8,9, and 10) u can get the cable for 189$ hmmm kinda like it!!
u know for installing a new Motec plug and play or halltech with those cheep cutomers!!! (loool) u will not be able to sell one!!!

This is most likely the #1 reason EFILive does not support
the vehicles you listed.

hmmmm oh I see,,,well as I was directed to HONDATA they got the new cable for recent honda models instead of soldering the new CHIP,, I think am gonna try it on my civic Type-R !!! the problem is lots of nissan Z350 customer are asking me every day: DID U FIND A NEW WAY TO TUNE OUR CARS!!! lol
