Ok I changed cams from
232/238 595 lift and 115lsa to my new cam 239/255 623 lift 114lsa
I also changed to an edelbrock carb style intake with elbow from the L76
I also changed to 2" primary headers with 3" out the back from 1 3/4 2.5" out
I am enclosing 2 different logs files. The first will be with my old setup and the second with the new. In the logs if you look at map psi you can see that on the old log it looks like boost is not increasing linearly with rpm and seems to hold around 10-11 psi throughout the pull, but my gauge use to show 15. On my new setup and log it seems to show boost increasing slowly and peaking at peak rpm, but my gauge now only reads 11 and map pressure shows only around 11.
My old setup made 15psi and the new setup now only makes 11psi. I lost around 60whp and 50-60lbft. with all of the new stuff. I am trying to figure out if it is the cam that is bleeding the boost off or is it just not making as much do to the more efficent setup. I did however pick up a little over 30whp everywhere over 6000rpm, but I think that is partly a function of the intake.
I really just need some advice on what is going on and what needs to either be changed or checked to get my lost power back. I guess it also may be worth mentioning that the previous old log runs the dyno temp gauge showed 56 degrees and the latest logs the gauge showed 104 degrees. Thanks in advance.
