question about autove

going thru the tutorial. at step 7 on page 8 where you edit the commanded fuel when in open loop, do you edit the entire table to look like those 3 lines? when i edit the 3 lines, it looks like this

Hi Steve,

You don't have to edit the whole table as long as you set your ben filter to ignore data for ECT outside of the range of those 3 rows.

But, your commanded fuel table is incorrect... you are using Lambda for fueling units...

do not use Lambda units...

use either AFR or EQ...

in the tuneool go Edit->Properties->Display and set Commanded Fuel Values to AFR or EQ...
then close the tunetool and reopen it...
now re-edit the commanded fuel table with the correct values.

If you use Lambda units you will end up adjusting the VE table in the wrong direction.

what happens to auto ve if thoes values are not as the tutorial says?

Also if the eq is 1 that is stoich so dont the stft effect it in cos 3? i just had a look at the auto ve tutorial and it has 1 in alot of places in B3647 which cos 3 uses but wouldnt that make auto ve wrong in cos 3?

It's been a while since I looked at the tutorial, but I do believe there is a step where you disable the CL

COS 3/5 will do semi-open/closed loop on EQ 1.00 cells even in OL...

so simply just set those cells to EQ 1.02 or 0.98.

That table is just a guide tho is it to keep your motor safe? or if the values are to far different auto ve wont be accurate?

You don't have to change {B3605} from stock,
especially not like pictured above.
It looks to me like the the commanded fuel values are displayed in Lambda
and the high load areas are in EQ.
Big difference between 1.13 Lambda and 1.13 EQ.

If stoich is 14.63 AFR then
1.13 Lambda = 16.53 AFR
1.13 EQ = 12.73 AFR
Where do you want your AFR @ WOT?
