View Full Version : 98 to newer computer Tuning question

I'm going to swap to a 2002 computer in my Nova so I can run a 4l80e(it has a 98 cpu now). I have all the pinout to swap the harness around but I'm wondering what options I have as far as the tune goes. The car is dialed in pretty good right now. I was using ls1edit to tune it. I just recently purchased EfiLive so I'll be using that going forward. Can I somehow get the meat and patatoes of my 98 tune over to a 99+ file? Or should I just start over with tuning the car?

Thanks,
Frank

Hi Frank,

Your best option is a 2002 4L80E 12212156 OS file...

If your tune is good why not stick with the 98,
are you going COS?

In short yes. I need to control a 4l80e and I'm doing a twin turbo setup. The 98 computer won't handle either as far as I know.
