Take a look at my logged run, is this what one looks like?? Dont pay attention the the 1st WOT run, I know the #'s are all wacked in the AF department.

So, which way is an 02 voltage suppose to look like? The yellow or the blue (on the bottom).

They will both float all over the place.

But, shouldnt they be pretty similar? The blue one switches like that and doesnt change at all during a normal cruise or WOT, its all the same throught out the ~3/4 minute log.

ok.. I put a new one in and it showed a different pattern and was good to go.. Now, I tried it again and it went back to the same pattern.. I even unplugged it and it still made the same pattern. So, something is up, anyone know what pin/s the passenger side 02 connector is on the pcm so I can to a continuty (sp) test?

Both sides will switch wildly.
If you are getting O2 codes with headers that is the norm,
mine do it too.
If there was a continuity problem I imagine you would get no readings at all.

So, your telling me if I dont have the 02 plugged in the connection ill get the same switching voltage as it does when its plugged in? Thats what its doing.

I just plugged the old one back in and layed it on the ground, it does heat up, so its getting juice. Oh, and that gave me the same switching voltage too. It jumps from .4 to .8 no matter if its plugged in or not.

Is there a table or a place in the efilive where you can turn it off? Maybe it got turned off or something?

You are getting O2 voltage without the sensor plugged in?
You can change the O2 switch point {B4105}

yep.. so, something is up.

I found a pin chart. Pin 28 (low volt) does have contact with two of the pins on the 4 pin connection down below. But, pin 68 (high voltage) gets nothing. So, I am thinking that it has to get power somehow to heat up, so maybe the other two pins in the connection go somewhere else. Its impossible to trace it with all the dang wire loom all over it.

Now I am trying to finad a schematic of the whole harness to see where they all go. If I can do a continutiy test and confirm its all good there. that will limit one thing out.

Just discovered it starts switching voltage when I just turn the key on.

thanks..

I have power, I had the old one plugged in and on the ground, it started heating up so power is good. I tested pin 28 but I could not get pin 68 to work. ill try it again.

Where would I try to test the ground at? Im lost where it ends up on the schematic above.

26 and 66 are all good..

Not sure where the ground is though.

That is the Blue connector of the PCM,
use your DMM and touch the corresponding pins to the sensor end.

Bank 1&2 ground (G112) Attached to the rear of the left cylinder head
Bank 1&2 power (539 pink) EGN SEN fuse
http://forum.efilive.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=5776&d=1247337540

Bank 1 sensor 1
Blue29 to A (TAN/WHT HO2S SIGNAL LOW BANK 1 SENSOR 1)
Blue69 to B (PPL/WHT HO2S SIGNAL HIGH BANK 1 SENSOR 1)
Bank 2 sensor 1
Blue26 to A (TAN HO2S SIGNAL LOW BANK 2 SENSOR 1)
Blue66 to B (PPL HO2S SIGNAL HIGH BANK 2 SENSOR 1)

You will probably find they are all good,
a continuity test will only prove whether or not the wire is cut or not.
FYI if the pic is to big save it and open it with irfanview (http://www.irfanview.com/) or right click> view image.
the way I posted them made them huge.

You know what.... I gave up on it so I just put the old 02 in since i didnt want to kill the new one. After the car was back on the ground and everything put away I thought I would check again. And all be damn, its working. So, I dont know what was going on.
