I'm in the process of tuning my MAF, run MAF only and DFCO disabled. I've noticed some very undesireable idling issues and could use some advice as to how to deal with them ( or ignore them )

During a normal commute type drive, no racing around, when I come to a stop with the car in first gear, but clutch pushed in, I get the following.

RPM stays about 1500+ for a few seconds while at the stop. Then it drops to about 500, then correct up a bit

When I stop and put the car neutral I get this strange surging between 800 and 1200 rpm. Almost like I'm pushing on the gas to rev it up a bit. Does this all by itself. How special

Did you check AFR? Is your car cammed? if yes you might added more air flow at idle.

car is not cammed. I checked my log and found an example between frames 10789 and 11140. Log shows zero mph for this period, but what is strange is that when the rpm surges up, it shows the TP moving up too. I'm quite sure my foot wasn't on that gas as I sat there in neutral. You see it go up 3 or 4 times, each time like I'm hitting the gas. I can tell you sitting in the car, that is exactly what it seemed like. Like somebody was revving it a bit.

Anybody ever seen this?

log attached above, frames 10780 to 11140.
