i updated my 2000 gmc p.c.m to a 2001 o.s. and now after doing the complete reflash my battery ligh in the message center keeps blinking. I know it has nothing to do with the batter or the alternator cause there is a volt gauge on this truck.

Any clue as to why it flashes the battery light in the message center?

Open your tune and check under System and see if the ALT L and F settings are different. I am not sure if the System Parameters table is editable or is only for our information. If both tunes have different ALT Terminal settings--Try to edit the Parameters. Let us know how it goes.

just figured it out after comparing both tunes i did see that the 2001 o.s did infact have an f terminal and the 2000 did not. i will reload the tune and see if this cures the prob. I did however, notice that the o.s i upgraded to is only for a 2wd and i do have a 4wd don't know if this at all matters or not???

Look at G1206 and G1207.

Joe,
Is G1207 an editable table or is it just for information purposes?

G1206 tells you which row in G1207 the PCM chooses...

G1206 seems to be editable in my tunetool.

Hello All,

Did anyone ever figure this out?

I'm having the same problem with a 2000 to 2002 flash. I have done a complete PCM pinout on both and an alternator part number lookup for both. Everything is the same. That only leaves the dash message center(unless I missed something).

I have yet to change the g1207 table. It was late. I will post my conclusion.

joecar,

I already posted the .tun to genIII area, under the 2k silverado blinking battery... or something like that. I just posted here as an attempt to get the attention of the original poster. I will post the final outcome here, to help others.

To All,

I had the same problem with a 2000 to 2002 full flash to 12212156.

I just fixed it by setting it to "not reported" in p1638. I also set g1297 to "no" under gmt800/ alternator f terminal. I don't know if there are other problems because of that. Will post any further problems.
