Max tune on stock tranny [Archive]

Hey guys i have question what is the maximum tune as far as HP and TQ i can install in my truck without tranny slippage?? I have an 2008 LMM 3500HD dually,buy the way i have already done a dpf delete and disabled egr codes.

Hi Dave, welcome to the site!

The Allison is typically good for 90-100 hp above stock, anything past that and "you're running on borrowed time."

well, I'm putting 465/1008 to the ground and all i have is a TransGo Jr. HOWEVER, I don't drive my sh!t like a bat out of hell. I never make any high gear pulls and i'm never in it on a shift. Thats why i'm doing fine.

It depends on how big your truck is I am running a max effort tune on a (RC) Regular Cab and I have run it up over 120mph.

X2... I ran about the same for 50K+ Miles with no problems.
