I found on the plx website and ordered this adaptor and thought that I was getting a better way to log my wideband instead of using the analog wires and get a cleaner signal....only problem is I don't know a way to use this. I guess I should have looked at the black box before I bough this because there is nowhere to plug it in. Is there any way to make this work or is there a way to go from usb to RS232 (looks like a phone jack). And if that adaptor is out there and does work; do I just open up my same PID for the PLX and log it like normal or is there something else that needs to be done to log through the Rs232 instead of the little orange analogs?

Here is what I bought....http://www.plxdevices.com/accessories.html

There's this thread,
PLX SM-AFR Serialupgrade (http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?t=7726)
but it seems like a lot of work.
The write up is for using the DB9 cable that comes with the V2.
I imagine you could make a direct cable from
the Tx/Rx phono jack outputs on the PLX to the RS232 on the V2.
The V2 pin out is in my sig.
