If I have a laptop and desktop, can they both have EFILive installed on to tune my vehicle, or do I have to choose one computer? I like my laptop for portability, but the desktop has a better screen and comfort.

I have EFI Live on 4 computers, 2 laptop's and 2 desktop's. You can have it installed on as many as computers as you want, I'm pretty sure...:D

So it is the handheld box that contains all the licensing info?

The software license key can be copied to as many PC/laptop computers as you like...

Yes, you are correct, the PCM licenses are stored in the FlashScan handheld unit itself.

How does the storeage stay consistant for historical info?
Between all pc's do you have to share data or is it also resident in the device?

You can also copy the dash/chart definition files to have the same looking dash/charts.

How about backing up all of your personal settings and transferring them to whatever PC you want to? Is there a certain folder or file that does this?

Save this folder (or Win7 equivalent) to a USB memory fob: My Documents\EFILive\V7.5

Assuming you had the latest (or at least a recent release) on your "other" computer you could probably just copy the 'My Documents\EFILive' folder to the new system. This is of course assuming you save you tune and log files under that structure.

OK IM planning on doing that. How about the COS Calibrations - do i need to copy any of those over to the new computer.

You should take your calibrations that are based on the COS OS. But, the actual COS calz and files you used to covert to COS in the first place are included in the default software install. :)
