has anyone tuned without maf and o2 sensors???

i have a race truck that doesnt have maf or o2 sensors, how would you go about tuning idle and light throttle situations. i have a wideband and i notice that heat soak is one of my main problems but i dont know how to tune around it. i have used table a0014 but it can make it worse with heat soak.
