View Full Version : I can't read a tune, but can flash one

V2, I have all the latest updates and firmware. I believe...

V2- 2.06.02
Tune Tool- Build 88

If I go to read a tune, it gets all the way to the part where it would start to move the process bar. But once it would start to read, the bar does not show up and nothing happens. If I wait a few mins it finally stops itself and suggest trying slow mode. That has the same results.

I can flash in a tune without any issue.

Help.

Hi dlove,

What vehicle did this happen on...?

Can you copy the log text and paste it here...

Happened on a 04 silverado. And an fbody I think it was.

What log text do you mean? I can zip the bug reports if you want.

When you read or write a tune, a box pops up and shows a log of what is going on... see attached image... you can copy/paste the text from that box.

you may have to disable the 15 second countdown message:
in tunetool go Edit->Properties->Options and uncheck "Show timer countdown after read/reflash".

:)

in the picture is where it sits without doing anything. I have read a couple hundred tunes or so. I'm not sure if I accidentally messed up something with the V2 or what.

I tired to take off the 15 second timer, but no luck.

Try the latest pre-release, it has many, many updates and bug fixes.
Don't forget to upgrade your FlashScan firmware to V2.06.16
