View Full Version : V7.5.6.99 & v8.1.2.75

Just installed both and EFILive Explorer is not working.
"EFILive_Explorer.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close."
The Upgrading to V7.5.6.pdf says nothing about it being "extinct" so I assume it is still to be used for .efw updating.

I dont see anything in Joe's post.
Quoting him I get the IMG link and pasting the IMG link into my browser I get
mr.prick, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
Seems to be a conspiracy. :sneaky:

Yes, and I still get that when I try to back rev (even with uninstalling each rev first).

Here's the technical info on this error.

FYI
I installed v8.1.2.75 over the previous version instead of uninstalling.

Something strange happened to the final build of build 75.
I have rebuilt the release and it is fine now.
I'll post an update asap.

Will this be an auto-update or a whole new installer?
I ask because I turn off auto-updates.
Thanks

The pre-release V8.1.2 software has been fixed and updated. It is still build 75.

Paul,
In this thread: http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?t=12014
post #2 says to re-download build 75 from post #1...
but post #1 is still the old one ("13 hours ago"), it has not been edited...
I followed what post #2 said and I get this:
The following menu items do nothing:
- Select PIDs,
- Record Data,
- Display Data,
- Display FFs,
- Record All Diags,
When selecting Read Tune, V2 says "Options.txt is empty".

Can you send the Options.txt file that is in your FlashScan. There must be something wrong with it.
The new firmware requires the following two sections to exist in Options.txt:
*TUNE_SELECTIONS which lists the tune controllers and *PID_SELECTIONS which lists the PID selections.

Paul

On my Dell 8400 (WinXP) I still keep getting this (see below) when I start EE.
On my MacBook (WinXP) I was getting the same thing until I ran a registry fixing program.

I had to delete EFILive\V8 from the registry, and now EE build 75 runs.
