Not yet. Part of our Black Box Logging / Reading update is to test some new methods of reading the entire flash memory of 2006 - 2009 Allison TCM.
Tuning the 2009 TCM probably won't happen until late 2009.

do you still think that there is a table in then 09 TCM's that is limiting rpm?

I don't know, we haven't got that far yet.

How's it coming? I have a couple of customers anxiously awaiting :)

Sorry to say it's not progressed further than last time.
We were hoping to have V8 released to add support for the 2009+ TCM due to it's differences to the older TCM making it not compatible with the V7 software. ut obviously that hasn't happened.

Did I see in the latest build 111 release that "new allison 6-speed TCM" is now supported?? Does that mean the 09+ TCM?

It would have been an additional calibration added. Not quite as exciting as you might have hoped I'm afraid.

GMPX

It was for the A41 & A46 TCM's, not the A50 which is the 2009+

Where would we find an A41 or A46?

Makes no difference to me, I have a 2005. :D

I was just curious about clarification on what the "6-speed TCM additional support" meant..

I have no idea, I just had files sent through.
However, when you use TIS2WEB now and you have to select the TCM part number from the list apparently they are in there.

Whats the word on the 09+ TCM's anyways are they going to be supported?

These days should read mid to late 2010, sorry.

I wonder if anyone has tried plugging an 07.5-08 TCM into an 09+ truck.

I've got both a 07.5 and 2010 sitting here but not the balls to do it :cucumber:. Whats the worst that could happen the 2010's mine but the 07.5 my works. :sly: How much can a new TCM be had for anyways just in case?

GMPX

Double check then check again the TCM pin outs, replacing a burnt wiring loom won't be fun.

Does anyone want to share a schematic of the TCM wiring for both years of these trucks? 07.5 & 2010

Thanks

Can I beg, bribe, or otherwise polute the priority list to get this one to the top??? :help2:

Problem is with the twin turbo trucks we can't get the converter to lock-up every time. Very annoying...

You guys Rock by the way :)

Nick so I take it the reason you have a excess of 2010 TCMS is your putting in some that u can tune :sly::hihi:

Nick, I'm just curious, what's the Allison model number on those 2010 TCMs? A40, A41, A50, A51, etc?

I wish I were that clever. More like I found a good price on a bunch of Allison controllers and thought "This couldn't hurt..."

Unless the A50 is also listed as a replacement part for the A40 and there's programming for it and the LBZ's, it won't work. It MIGHT work with the LMM's, but I'm not sure if the pinouts are the same as I haven't been able to find a proper schematic for the '09s with the A50 and I don't have schematics for the 2010's.

I noticed in the schamatics that in the LMM's, the tap shift runs through the BCM & the data bus, whereas the 06/07 LBZ's the tap-shift is wired directly to the TCM.

That's stupid. No wonder it's a 1000 and 1 count before my LMM will process the shift command. I wish someone could speed it up somehow. :bad:

I doubt that's the reason... the computers and data lines can process and send the data faster than you can push the button. I suspect it's more programming.

not really. One less wire in the truck, one less possible place for a short circuit, easier to diagnose problems, etc...

I agree. Even low speed GMLAN is wayyy fast enough for everything in the truck.

Considering the speedometer and tach/instrument cluster get all their realtime data over low speed GMLAN (and not a dedicated VSS or tach signal wire), im sure its plenty fast enough to send an instant tap-shift request.

Adding a delay is because, DUH, this isnt a race car and GM didnt intend people to be using the tap-shift like they would in an automatic-equipped corvette or camaro....

then email GM, tell them you made your truck as fast as a corvette, and maybe they will send you a TCM calibration that has faster-acting tap-shifting.
