I have only used Seafoam.

The GM Service Manual says to avoid additives such as that one...

I am not sure what happens, but I think those additives may contain acids or etching agents to help the additive stick to shiney/slick metal surfaces...

a long time ago someone spilled a bottle of DuraLube and it landed in a drawer that was open on one of my toolboxes... the DL landed on several sockets... I figured "it's oily, it can hurt" so I left it... several years later I noticed the chrome plated surface of those same sockets was pitted/corroded... the other sockets surrounding those were not touched at all and still looked new... only the sockets that the DL touched were messed up, right where the DL had been in contact with the sockets, and where the DL pooled underneath the socket it had formed a sticky goopy mess (I guess the solvant evaporated out).
