This stock PW table doesn't make sense to me. At idle, for example, it calls for 2600us. We know thats not happening.
Can anyone shine some light?

Ah, how annoying, I 'thought' I fixed that. Yes the axis labels are not right.
It should be:

50
55
60
65
70

Will be fixed in the next .calz file release.

Ross

I am somewhat relieved actually.
I thought for a time that this was going to really be a nightmare.
Can I do this myself? Or maybe get a corrected calz file (os=594)?

"She'll be right mate" as we would say. Translation, I know it's dubious, but it will do.

Just so I am clear, I need to write this table as though those axis values were already there? correct?
I am easy to confuse.

yeah they were just mis-labeled the actual values are in the correct location (X,Y) just the row labels are incorrect.

Wow, I thought I was loosing my mind and a recent tune I did was acting wierd. So I loaded it into my truck and loged it and was not seeing the vales in the cells. I had to adjust for it;. I finally got it to work correct, and I should have said something, but I forgot about it lol. Thanks for bringing this up Mike.
when will those cal files come out again

0
.1
1
10
30 (skip 20)
40
etc

Why do you suspect that? LBZ's have the 20 row...

Look at the scaling of the idle area. A smooth idle usually uses about 20-25 us per mm3. This keeps pulse from going ballistic (lope) in the idle speed control function.
546 to 997 represents a doubling of pulse from the previous interpolative values of 304 to 546. 45us per mm3 (or 22us per mm3 if my hunch pans out)

hmm... interesting theory.

strangely though, I have a feeling it is as originally stated. the mid pressure values suggest this.

Uh, Add LBZ to that list Ross. I was using the not-so-resent version of the calz. and since then have updated them, and now the LBZs look like the LMMs???

That was a coincidence. Is it safe to use these calz's w/o a software upgrade?

if you are on build 99 you'll be fine
GMPX
October 29th, 2009, 01:04 PM
Those .calz files should be fine to use without a software update.
Fixes are also applied to the LBZ, but they won't appear until the next .calz update for them when we move the DSP from beta to all done. I guess that would be shorlty after SEMA.
