B5934 Idle Flare Control -This table makes adjustments to spark in an attempt to curb idle speed flare upon start up.

My idle is set at 1200 RPM and I have ETC. On start up it has always over-revved (above 2000 rpm) .
I shifted the B5934 table downward. The -30* value is now at 1000 RPM.
No more 2000+ RPM start ups :D .

FWIW.

joel

I can get her to idle at 800 RPM. She responds much better at 1200 RPM. I give her what she wants. :D

At one time it was considered big - now it's middle of the road

239/251, 106, 0.570" (GM Grand Am cam).

Hey Joe!!
HeHe. You know I meant there are much bigger cams in terms of duration - and especially lift. Yeah, she likes the Rs but she's demanding in the idle tuning area. The 106 has it's benefits :D and it's negatives :( . Of course I'm not telling you anything you don't already know!

You Are the "Yoda" of Part Throttle Tuning. Intelligence, Persistence and "small changes - one at a time". Thumbs Up Emoticon.
