I currently have $800 burning in my pocket, do I have enough to buy myself a gaget like a v-2?? I currently have a 00' procharged ws-6 that has some fueling issues and I would like to see what it's doing at wot. I hope with time and help from you guys that I can learn to tune my car. The tune it has now is an EFI Live tune so I hope to see what exactly was done to it. Any comments welcomed.

Thanks,

Andy

I do have a wideband on my car already I believe it's an innovate. I made bung on the lower part of my header as this is where I was told to do it. It's the wideband with the small rectangular window that shows your AFR. Do I need another kind? Can you also let me know what exactly I need since I'm a first timer. I would like to move some parameters in my tune since it's extreamly rich right now. I think my injector duty cycle was programmed to be left open to compensate for my fuel loss at WOT. As it is when I go WOT my afr goes to 9.8 or so give or take. At idle it's at 11 something I believe. I think I'm leaving alot of power on the table.

Can you break that down for me (what exactly is that). What can you do with an rr and a v1.

If you have an Innovate wideband, it probably is an LC-1, LM-1, or LM-2... these have serial AFR output capability...

the EFILive FlashScan V2 has serial AFR input capability...

i.e. FlashScan V2 can read the AFR from the LC-1/LM-1/LM-2 using a serial comms cable... you can get a serial cable from TAQuickness, or see the following links:

Or if you get a FlashScan V1 then you would connect your Innovate wideband to V1 using an analog voltage connection (same as shown in the Innovate user manual pdf).

Can you break that down for me (what exactly is that). What can you do with an rr and a v1.The RoadRunner is the PCM that lets you do real time editing/tuning while the engine is running.

Mr.Prick (his real name) will tell you more about it.

Sorry, took the wife to get a spring roll. Anyway, I live in El Paso,TX. It seems to me that the v2 has more capabilities than the v1 right?? Eventually I would like to be able to tune vehicles here in El Paso since there is no where within 250 miles to tune our cars. I know there's a steep learning curve, but I think I can eventually learn how to do it. Can you give me a ball park figure on pricing. I'll have to look for my innovate box but I dont know if I'll be able to find it. Will that be a problem? If memory serves me right I think the wideband came with a cd and booklet, right.

If you plan to tune your customers' vehicles, see this:

V1 and V2 supported vehicles (http://www.efilive.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=100&Itemid=82).

V1 and V2 feature comparison (http://www.efilive.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=57&Itemid=110).

V1 does black bos logging.
V2 does black box logging, black box reading, and [soon] black box flashing (under development), OBD2 diagnostics.

Prices (see "Scan & Tune" models) see here (http://www.efilive.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=87).

Contact a reseller to see what prices they have.

Also, there's a custom OS available (free) which includes tables for boost and nitrous...

You would upgrade your 2000 F-car OS to the 2002 F-car OS and then to COS5.
