E38 Case Relearn on Locked ECM

I've got an ECM we've swapped from one vehicle to another, now it's back in the original vehicle but it brings up a DTC & needs a CASE relearn, only problem is the ECM is locked to stop the competitors playing with it, is it possible for them using their EFILive Scan tool to do a CASE Relearn on a locked PCM?? Only asking because I've never tried to do it & I have no real way of getting to the vehicle as it's hours away.

You should be able to do a CASE relearn regardless of the ECM being locked (it's a function of the scantool).
