How can I tell if IAC is any good? At start-up the IAC steps are 260 but motor wants to die... 5 secs later motor recovers but IAC steps are still 260, it's funny because I can actually hear the air rushing into throttle body as the IAC is opening but IAC steps don't change on data log.... While data logging around the neighborhood I see that the IAC steps shoot up to 310 and then drop to 176 and finally go as low as 157... Motor was adapted into a 1972 Chevy Blazer: Stock 2005 6.0ltr running OLSD converted from Drive-by-wire to Cable throttle body.

Mine starts high at cold start and goes to 60-80 steps when warm.
Log RAFIG and see where that is at.

Not to be capt. obvious but, have you tried opening the TB Blade a bit more, followed by a TPS reset? Only try this on a fully warmed up motor.

Or are you just not sure it is functioning at all?

I've tried opening/closing the blade, idle timing e.t.c. I'll log RAFIG later on today and see what that shows...I think it might not be functioning at all.

Can you hear it move to the default park position when the engine is turned off?
IAC steps change in the log, maybe the worm gear inside is gummed up.
