I finally got everything i needed to hook up my Motec PLM.

I configured for 0.5v=10AFR and 4.5v=18AFR which i believe is the same as LC-1 .

http://www.motec.com/support/manuals/Manual%20PLM%20A5.pdf is the manual for my PLM

I have the 0v in pin D on the flashscan orange plug and +analogue out in pin C on the flashscan orange plug.

I know I am supposed to also have either a battery reference or a chassis ground but can't work out which one it is or which wire it relates to.

I have put a multimeter across pins C & D with the car running but the voltage is all over the place.

Has anyone installed a Motec before that can offer any advice or decipher the diagrams for me please?

cheers
Mal

Looking at Appendix H, use the diagram for "Floating Measuring Device"

For PID {EXT.AD1}
A out + = FlashScan Pin E (input +)
A out - = FlashScan Pin D (input -)

For PID {EXT.AD2}
A out + = FlashScan Pin C (input +)
A out - = FlashScan Pin D (input -)
