WHYTRYZ06, also try GM.EOP.

Remember to validate pids.

Andy,

In scantool do this:
- go File->Select Controller, and select GenIII LS1 99-08 PCM (should already have it),
- go File->Enter VIN, and enter your VIN and OS (should already have it),
- connect to vehicle,
- go Info->Validate PIDs,
- go to PIDs F8 tab, click on Caption column heading to sort alphabetically on that column,
- set System to (All),
- look down the Caption column to see if it's there.

I asked Tech Support for more guidance on this.

joe, i validated the PID's and it didnt work, do we need to make a custom PID based on what is given to us, I.E GM.EOPS,,,?

Do any GM.xxxxx PIDs show up as valid?
If not, there may be a non-standard VIN in that controller. Make sure the VIN starts with 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, 6G or 6H otherwise none of the GM.xxxxx PIDs will show up as valid.

If the VIN is ok, then the GM.EOP PID should be valid for your vehicle. It will only return the oil pressure as a voltage (from 0V to 5V) not as psi.

Paul

ok, ill check now gimmie a min

ok just checked, all that is valid is

GM.EOL ( ENGINE OIL LIFE)
GM.EOPS (ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR VOLTAGE) <<<< do i select this one?

thats it, so what do i select....

Blacky, when i log my oil pressure ima need it to show up in the scan tool as PSI...ok?

so what to do?
