Pretty scary concept intercepting and restricting access in such an brutal approach. As the article says the people that want the restricted content will likely have means of getting it (remote proxy, VPN etc).

Do you really think any government department would actually know how to implement this? It will take them years to come up with something that will be bypassed in days. Or will be overthrown in court because some small business will be wrongfully added to the banned list.

Isn't it ironic that Canberra (the Aus equivalent of Washington DC) is the porn capital of Australia.
