Does anybody have any experience with this? I am not sure what to use for the trans segment swap to run an 80e.

Hmmm, havent heard of a 80E into a TBSS yet. No seg swap is possible due to them using a seperate ECM and TCM, I would start off using the T42 OS in THIS (http://forum.efilive.com/showpost.php?p=110834&postcount=4) thread and working from there.

May I ask why the 80E? I know its been talked about but the general consensus has been to drop a built 70E (like an RPM level VI) and be done.

Also, have you seen this:

I think I like what Erik said better.

Well, it's getting a 600 horse 416ci stroker motor going in an suv. I dont care how many levels (whats next XXIX?) it's still a polished over 700r4 pile that IS going to break. Been there done that.

6L80E instead, much better choice. You're still gonna break the 80E eventually. I agree, the 700R4s from 30 years ago aint cuttin it as "modern" trans' in GM's lineup.

I mentioned the highest level RPM because it has the billet input (and output) shafts IIRC.

You will still need to repin the TCC PWM pin.
