I had a problem with a PCM. I have a backup PCM from a different year. With Commercial version, can I change that pcm to a different vehicle?
The only problem I see is, the needed pcm is an 03 truck, the backup is a 00 car. In the past, I was told pcms followed the 97-98, 99-00, 01 and up type.
Can someone confirm?
Thanks,
Jason

I believe the '03 is different from the 99-02 series. I think the 99-02 have blue and red PCM harness connectors, where the 03 has blue/green. Also, I think the 99-02 had 512k flash size and the 03 has 1024k.
May I ask what happened with your PCM?

I'll PM you about the PCM,
I know the memory differences in the years, but didn't know if I was running a custom OS, If I could get around that. I quess it depends on how much memory the 03 PCM program really uses. I quess I could look at the program sizes....
Bad timing, all the knowledge is at SEMA
