are the ignition coil control circuit for 1-8 coils supported for the 2000 gmc's? And if so how do you select them? These are used for testing your coils, right?

The combustion in the cylinder in general. Also, it is a tool that compares the efficiency of each one to others. It is a starting point to know if x cylinder needs a closer look.
That includes coils, SP, injector....etc

i was referring to gmigncoil 1-8 pids. I will try selecting the ls1 though and see if this works. Is there much difference from selection the 98-00 vortec vrs the ls1 pcm? I mean you can select the ls1 pcm on a 00 gmc??

you shouldn't have a 98-00 vortec PCM. that is the old blackbox that was used on the distributored early vortec L31 and L30 type motors. you have a gen 3 vortec which should be run with the LS1B 99-08 PCM IIRC.
